Aboul Gheit welcomes adoption of roadmap to resolve crisis in Syria's Sweida, commends Jordan's efforts

​Mr. Ahmed Aboul Gheit, Secretary-General of the League of Arab States, welcomed the adoption of a roadmap to resolve the crisis in the Syrian city of Sweida, grounded in the unity of Syrian territory and the principle of full equality among citizens in rights and duties. Mr. Aboul Gheit commended the efforts of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, particularly its Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ayman Safadi, in facilitating this settlement by hosting the Amman meeting, which brought together Syrian Foreign Minister Asaad Al-Shaibani and United States Special Envoy Thomas Barrack.
