On 10 May 2023, the Council of the League of Arab States at the level of permanent delegates held a resumed session to deliberate over the persistent Israeli aggression against the Palestinian people. The council was presided over by the current Chair of the Ministerial Council, the Arab Republic of Egypt, and featured the attendance of the permanent representatives and heads of delegations.
The meeting was convened in accordance with Statement No. 251, issued by the extraordinary meeting of the Council of the League of Arab States at the level of Permanent Representatives on 5 April 2023. The statement called for the council to remain in resumed session to monitor the latest advancements in Israeli aggression.
The Arab Republic of Egypt, in coordination with the Permanent Mission of the State of Palestine and the Permanent Mission of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, made the request to hold this meeting. The meeting culminated in the release of the following statements:
